Lack of initiative to make the relationship exciting

A relationship breaking up could be due to a lack of initiative to make the relationship exciting. As time flies, things between couples become mundane and conventional as they become too acquainted with each other. The exhilaration they used to feel in the beginning slowly but surely dies off due to a variety of factors. Soon, the relationship is taken for granted and boredom starts to set in the relationship. Even married couples go through this stage, and sadly they may end up in divorce because the initial love and romance gradually fades away with time. Parenthood, work, and other domestic responsibilities demand a lot of attention from each of the couple and at some point this gets in the way preventing the couple from spending quality time together. In the end, they fell out of love and realize that they can in fact live independently without being in a relationship.

Infidelity

Infidelity is one of the top reasons why some relationship fall apart.  Naturally, no one wants to find out that his or her partner has been unfaithful. Married couples may also encounter this problem and the majority of those with this kind of predicament are unable to overcome their partner’s lack of loyalty. They get estranged from each other and eventually end up in the divorce courts. More often than not, couples with infidelity issues fail to overcome this crisis and make the relationship work. For infidelity issues, it is advisable to consult a relationship counselor to help save your relationship before it’s too late. This is because it takes a lot of effort to overcome infidelity problems and only a trained relationship counselor will be able to work objectively on the relationship issues.

Different Plans and Aspirations

Another reason for relationship breaking up is that couples may find that they have different plans and aspirations. Couples realize that despite their attraction towards each other, they’re in fact very different from each other. It’s almost as if one of them is from Mars while the other is from Venus. They are not able to meet half way in the sense that their views and plans have become too diverse / distinct, and in the end this causes the couple to drift apart. Couples think that their differences are enormous and often fail to realize the fact that it’s possible to reconcile any incompatibility. Because of this, couples may end up separated by choosing to focus on their differences instead of making efforts to resolve them.

Lack of Total Commitment

A relationship may also start breaking up due to a lack of total commitment on the part of either one or both the parties. One or both of the partners could be half-hearted about the relationship, and this may lead to a relationship breaking up.  If the chemistry is not working out between the parties involved, then the relationship will end.

One Partner Tries To Change The Other

Last but not least, a relationship breaking up occurs when one partner tries to change the other to fit into their goals and aspiration. Remember that you fell in love with a person for what he or she actually is and people do not change that easily. They mostly remain more or less the same person throughout their entire life. What looks like an attempt to change someone may be seen by the other as an intrusion and an unwelcome hindrance in their life. When this happens, the relationship may start to crumble down.

Almost every relationship will have to deal with the above mentioned issues at some point of time in the future. Even as relationship gets messed up, there are techniques you must know to overcome the issues and make a relationship work. You shouldn’t worry too much about encountering any of these issues in your relationship. Once you know exactly what to do in a variety of situations and you are mature and tactful in handling the relationship issues, most of your relationship problems will disappear.
